Experience

Safety Training

In October 2024, I had the privilege of attending an intensive safety training session in Castle Rock, Colorado, presented by Tucker Water Fed Pole manufacturer and Mike Draper, The Safety Advocate Trainer. This comprehensive training covered essential safety protocols for ladder use, water-fed pole operations, aerial lift procedures, and rappel window cleaning.

Hands on Training

100%

Commited

Throughout the training, we delved into the intricacies of OSHA and ANSI standards, with Mike Draper providing detailed explanations and quotations to emphasize their importance. These standards are the backbone of workplace safety, and understanding them is crucial for anyone involved in window cleaning and related tasks. We explored specific scenarios and requirements, discussing how to apply these standards in real-world situations to prevent accidents and injuries.

One of the highlights of the training was the hands-on experience. We participated in live self-rescue rappel drills and aerial lift self-rescue practice, which were both challenging and enlightening. These drills provided invaluable practical experience, allowing us to apply the theoretical knowledge we had gained in a controlled, supervised environment. The emphasis on real-life application ensured that we were not only aware of the safety protocols but also confident in our ability to execute them effectively.

This training session was an eye-opener, reinforcing the critical importance of safety in our daily operations. It was a reminder that safety is not just a set of rules to follow but a mindset to cultivate. I left Castle Rock with a renewed commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards and ensuring that my team is always prepared and protected.
